Steve Montgomery

Steve "Monty" Montgomery owns The Starboard Restaurant in Dewey Beach. A graduate of Randolph-Macon College, Steve has been a part of the Dewey Beach community since the early 1980's when he worked for the beach service renting out umbrellas & chairs. Starting at The Starboard in the late 1980's, Steve worked his way up through the ranks, and eventually purchased the restaurant in 1999 with his 2 business partners. Also working in residential real estate management in the Washington DC area through the 1990's, Steve and his partners currently own and operate 6 restaurants including Bethany Blues BBQ, The Front Page-Arlington, The Bottom Line -Washington, & Portside Tavern-Baltimore...with construction of a new Bethany Blues in Lewes underway. Spending most all of his life growing up here in Dewey Beach, and now a successful business owner in town, Steve offers a well rounded view on Dewey Beach and it's lifestyle, and has donated much time and money to our town's services over the years.
