Steve Huse registered as an independent Delaware voter after he bought his house on Van Dyke in 1991.  He has managed the 4th of July BBQ for the lifeguards and their guests for the past two years.  Since 2006 he has worked with the town manager and the budget committee to put together the expense budget.  Some of his financial analysis which includes a monthly update are published here.  Along with Steve Montgomery and Carol Everhart he founded the Market Dewey Task Force, a group dedicated to making Dewey more fun for everyone.  Their recent efforts brought bonfires and movies to the beach as well as convincing the town not to tow cars from unmarked tow away zones.  (More than 200 were towed in 2007)..
