May 19, 2012 - Beautification Day & Annual Board Meeting
The Dewey Beach Annual Town Beautification Event will take place on Saturday, May 19 sponsored by the Dewey Beach Civic League. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Dewey Lifesaving Station at 8:30am equipped with sunscreen, hats, gloves and any lawn equipment you can bring along. We will work at the Lifesaving Station, Town Hall, our RT 1 Median strip and the area around the Dewey Holiday Christmas Tree on Route 1 near Fifer's Orchard stand just north of town. If you are interested in helping out or might be looking for more information please contact Marie Hutton at: mariefhutton@msn.com.
The Annual Board Meeting will be held later that same day at the Lion's Club starting at 4pm where 2 new board member positions will be announced.
April 10, 2012 - Rob Marshall elected Dewey Beach Civic League President
Dewey Beach Civic League President David Main stepped down in March, after a five-year term; Vice President Rob Marshall was elected to take his place. Main announced he would pass the torch in a March 8 letter to civic league members. “The Board is enthusiastic about the new energy and talents these changes bring to the League and thank you all for your continued support,” Main wrote.

March 31, 2012 - Special Meeting on Parking Proposal
Dewey Beach Town Council will hold a special public meeting this Saturday March 31 at the Dewey Lifesaving Station at 10am to evaluate a new parking proposal that will lead to new smart meters in town amongst other initiatives and upgrades. Additionally Town Council will discuss and possibly vote on matters related to discussions during Executive Session regarding personnel and potential litigation including but not limited to selection of a new town manager and / or nominate Alderman and Assistant Alderman.
